Congeodle’s special lunchtime treat for March is Bak kut teh rice vermicelli. A Malaysian favourite, the rich pork-rib broth is made from fresh pork meat boiled for 10 hours with star anise, fennel, chenpi, cloves, garlic and other medicinal spices that regulate the qi and strengthen the spleen. Mushrooms, tofu puffs and fried bread sticks also absorb the health-boosting soup. Savour the sweet aftertaste of each unforgettable bite.
